What kind of workshop would you like to join?

it’s all in the title, let’s discuss what interests you.
Could be something technical such as : portrait lighting in studio, basic lightroom / photoshop workflow, best practice for landscape photo., etc.
Or something more general like: basic of a studio photoshoot, the ABC of photography, how to find and interact with subjects, etc.

Let’s see if we can come up with something that is useful to most.
I will then organize the event.

Hello @Aaron_Gayle and welcome to our little community.
Feel free to post a Quick Introduction to let people know who you are and what you are looking for.

You are already the 2nd person mentioning flashes (speedlights). Maybe there is a trend forming

I do a lot of Lightroom Classic, but I guess there are always a few tricks to learn. For example, right now I do shots one by one, but I’d like to learn more about effectively using presets to speed up the process etc.

By the way I’m still struggling with the pics-Japan app lol :joy: It’s harder for the old and fragile.

Creative concepts please. I would like to see some interesting techniques and ideas presented for a workshop. :sparkles:

Emory, that is a good idea. Are you looking for methods to get inspiration ?
What do you have in mind ?

Nothing in particular yet, but for example would be letting makeup artists/ hair stylists research and explore really cool or abstract concepts and use the models for their portfolios. As well as the photographers would get some really awesome shots. Yay team effort~ :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

(One concept) We could even do friendly contests or events based around the theme of holiday, season, random, etc. Best part, everyone wins for their portfolios.:clap:t3:

Sounds like what you are describing are our #funshoot events
I should have been clearer and say that workshops are not shooting events, more like teaching events.

Ah, yes you’re correct! I also was thinking about the Fun Shoots:rofl::sweat_smile::sweat_smile: …and now I realize…

Then may I suggest exploring lighting techniques and possibly relighting in combination with color and skintone? :tipping_hand_woman:t3:
